Firstly i am running:
Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 2320 @ 3.00GHz 35 °C Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
RAM: 14.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. P8B75-M (LGA1155) 30 °C
Graphics: SAMSUNG (1366x768@60Hz)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (EVGA) 30 °C
*(all info given was recieved for the program 'Piriform Speccy')*

I previously had a gtx 1060 by Strix gpu with 6GB installed in my PC, and EVERYTHING worked fine.
Then i installed the 1070 and everything gaming related went south.
As far as i can tell, it is not an overheating problem, because all my temps are good (nothing above 40c). Thus i am lead to believe that it is a power problem, also sometimes my computer throws a (CPU overvoltage at me). Because of that i turned the voltage down in the BIOS, but that didnt solve it. so i returned it to default.
Now their are random times when my PC works fine, like last night it ran fine for about 4hours (3hours of gaming, 1 idle) before i shut it down. now today its back to the same old problem.
idk what the problem is but its driving me crazy, please help me.

Solution
Do you have the correct drivers installed for the GPU? Don't let Windows 10 Install them automatically.
try going to system>advanced system settings>hardware tab>Driver Installation settings, then click No Let me choose what to do and uninstall the GPU drivers, restart the machine and install new drivers off the Nvidia website.
Thats all I can think of other than it being a RAM issue like I had.
