I am thinking to try for free wow and everquest 2, if i like the games, i will buy them and pay a fee for premium/membership.
What i want to know is if i have to pay every month 15-20$ or I have to buy the game just once and if i want to buy costumes pack or some other items, i will buy them when i wish?
I want to play them if i need to just buy the game once but i don't have millions to spend for them :D

Solution
Couple of buy-to-pay options (no monthly fee buy the game once only and play): Guild Wars 2, Black Desert
Pay to play (buy the game AND pay 10-15$ monthly: WoW Legion, Final Fantasy 14
Free to play (completly free BUT there might be pay-to-win elements): It's really up to you there are thousands of free mmos out there though only a handful of them is actually good, you can try some on Steam like Tera or Rift.

WoW is subscription based. You have to pay monthly fee. There is also the option of game cards, that you can buy in store, like say Walmart. If you get good at making gold, you can now actually play for free, by buying game time, with gold. Blizzard setup an option where people could purchase game time, then sell it on the in game auction house, for in game currency. Basically blizzard's attempt to thwart chinese gold sellers. You buy the initial game, and will get all expansions through Warlords of Draenor, which will get you to level 100. In order to play the new demon hunter class, and level to the current 110 level cap, you would then need to purchase legion.

Thx for remembering me about Rift, i almost forgot about it.
As for Tera, my hardware run all pc games until 2006 at high settings and on low settings onwards, Tera would work very hard for my pc atm.
I will soon post another question about upgrading my pc and if i find satisfyng solutions, i will play Tera as well because i so long to play it...since 2013....
