SO i have a 250gb samsung ssd. i have been using it for 1year for my os (win 10).

a few days ago i installed linux on an usb and wanted to boot it on my computer.
i went into the bios, but i couldnt see my ssd in there. there was only the DVD drive and the usb. so i chnged the usb to the 1st boot position and restarted.
it booted windows.
windows recognizes the ssd but the bios doesnt. i remember that a few months ago it did recognize the ssd

Hey there, @xRedPepper!

I'd suggest checking the connections to the SSD and even try swapping the SATA port and the SATA cable that connect the drive to the motherboard. If that doesn't help recognizing the SSD in BIOS, I'd suggest checking your motherboard manufacturer's official website for any SATA controller & Chipset driver updates. While on it, check your BIOS version as well and make sure you have everything up-to-date. Resetting BIOS might also help. Just remember to re-configure any manual changes you have made in the BIOS interface.

Hope it helps. Good luck! :)
