My computer crashes consistently after 5 to 10 minuets of gaming even easy to run games like Fist Full of Frags. Please help

When ever my computer crashes while gaming, it plays the last in game sound over and over again. Then suddenly the sound plays really fast over and over again leading to the computer restarting.. My computer is an older ASUS CG5270 model with an 4 Intel 2 quad core Q8300 cpu's and a GeForce GT 220. Also, I have 8 GB memory. I have no knowledge on how to diagnose this problem or how to fix it.

Could be overheating, could be a failing video card, could be RAM issue. Monitor temps with HWMonitor while in a game, see how hot it gets. Try a different video card, try different RAM.

The source engine isn't the most optimized engine, and fist full of frags isn't the most optimized game. Your video card is mostly likely the cause though.
