I just want a general idea of how this build will hold for the next 2-3 years. I plan on using it for gaming at high to ultra settings but am completley fine with high settings.

CPU: i5-4460
GPU- Evga GTX 1060(SC)
RAM- 8gb of DDR3
Power Supply- Evga 500b Bronze Certified Power Supply
Storage- 1TB Hard Drive(7.2k SATA)

I have all the components here except for the 1060 and that power supply.

Is this system at least somewhat future proof?

Thanks for the HELP!:ange:

It's fine but unless you already got your ram I suggest going with a Skylake build (i5-6500)
Also the PSU is no good.
Rather go for a XFX TS/Core, a Corsair CX450m or a Seasonic unit.
An upgrade to more ram could be needed in a year or so, a ssd would be nice
