Hello everyone,

after doing some research on this site and several other sources I am still not sure if I can combine the following parts:

  • Intel Core i7-6800K 3,4 GHz (Broadwell-E) Sockel 2011-V3
    MSI X99A Godlike Gaming Carbon
    G.Skill Trident Z 32GB DDR4-3200 (F4-3200C14Q-32GTZKW)

In this test it says: "The best performing quad-channel kit we’ve tested, G.Skill’s Trident Z F4-3200C14Q-32GTZKW appears a reasonable value when compared to other premium DDR4."
But on the product sheet it says: Dual Channel Kit

Plus the F4-3200C14Q-32GTZKW is not listed on the compatibility list for the X99A Godlike Gaming Carbon.

Should I forget about it and go with the Corsair Dominator Platinum Series DDR4-2666, CL15 - 32 GB Kit instead?

Any help is much appreciated.

Have a great time,
malessandro

Advertising varies, some times they'll call a 4 stick set quad other times they call it dual - the DRAM could care less, each stick is a 64bit device and can run in single, dual, tri or quad, I've got numerous sets of 32GB 4x8GB DDR3 I used in an article and same with some sets of DDR4, you can run it either way. I just got a set of 4x16GB 3200/14 TriZs I've thrown in my Skylake but my pan is to put them in a X99 rig
