Hi, Ive been having an issue with a new desktop build where one of my 2 monitors randomly loses signal while playing games. Sometimes the monitor loses signal for a second, sometimes for minutes, and sometimes it flickers between signal and no signal very fast. The pc is not being frozen, and the 2 monitors are both plugged into the same graphics card, however, only one of the 2 loses signal, the other remains perfectly fine. The monitor that drops out is a new acer 144hz dvi-d monitor and my other is a hdmi monitor. This is driving me insane because i cannot play games on my main monitor without it cutting out and making me go crazy. All of my components in my pc are brand new and my gpu is not overheating. I have the newest drivers from amd.

My specs:
Asus z170-e
i7 6600k
ripgaw 16ddr4
600w psu corsair
r9 390x gpu

I dont think it is a power supply issue because if it were, the gpu would crash and result in both monitors losing signal. Please help. This issue is ruining my gaming experience and making me want to hate my computer

UPDATE:
THIS ISSUE WAS HAPPENING ON AN OLDER MOTHERBOARD, I HAVE HAD PEOPLE TELLING ME THAT IT IS THE MOTHERBOARD SO I BOUGHT THE NEW ASUS ONE AND IT STILL KEEPS HAPPENING.

Most monitors have more than one way to connect them these days. If possible, connect that monitor using HDMI or Display port. See what effect that has. Try a different DVI cable. If that is not possible, connect it to another system entirely. You have three major parts to test -- the video card, the cable and the monitor. Just work on a process of elimination to find out where the problem is. Good luck.
