Using iPhone Hotspot for PC Gaming

I have an iPhone 6. We're considering going on an unlimited data plan and getting rid of our AT&T internet. My download speed is 1.81 mpbs and my upload speed is .23 mpbs. And my ping is 27ms. I usually get 1-3 bars out where I live (if that even matters). Would my hotspot on my phone be faster than my current internet?

An unlimited data plan doesn't always include tethering, so check that first.

The biggest obstacle in your way is the fluctuation in signal. Suddenly switching between 1-3 bars would play havoc with online gaming, not to mention a possible fluctuation in wireless connectivity between the phone and computer.

Whilst it's possible to play online games with a 1.8Mbps download speed, it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to do much else.
