NH-U14S or NH-D15? It seems they perform the same.

Hi everyone, sorry for my english. I'm undecided on what product buy. I've tested the NH-U14S and NH-D15 making a comparison. The temperatures are the same in every game i tried (45-50 C°) and in idle both hit 30-35 C°, so why buy one then other if NH-U14S give more compatibility and more space? And why the NH-D15 with 2 tower heatsink cool the same as the NH-U14S? I've tried with intelburntest, i have an i5-4670k clocked at 4,2 ghz and 1.240 V. Both hit 68-73 C°.Thank you for your answers.

well, is there a difference in loudness?

the D15 is newer

difference in dimensions and weight, which one fits better in your case

which one was easier to install?

could be you applied the thermal paste not optimal. Did you use the "pea" mehtod? Too much paste could make a difference of >10°C

Hi, thank you for your answer.

In loudness there's no difference.

The U14S is surely more easier to install and better in dimensions and weight.

For the paste i use to drop a grain of rice in the middle of CPU and then install the cooler. I use the Arctic Silver 5. You say that's better if i spread the paste with the finger or the scoop?

In any case, i used the same paste and the same grain of rice and the temperatures are the same... This is confusing 'cause i expected that a two tower cooler performs better than a single tower cooler... Speaking of this is just my curiousity, two tower are a great difference then one but still they perform equal. :??:

Oh i see. It's the one i use to. In the end, if i understand, what you are saying it's to choose the one more comfortable for me in therms of ease of use as the temperatures are the same, right?
