yo guys, need som help with fans. i know nothing about fans. so some help to pick the right fan would be nice.

SPECS:
mobo: msi z170 gaming7
cpu: 6600k
GPU:msi 970
Case: NZXT h440 red/black
PSU: rm 650w corsair gold

need an exhaust fan (140mm) and cpu fan(120mm)

now i have some ideas, however i do get confused with the pins.
I would kie the fans to be somewhat quiet and to the cpu fan to have red led.

I use several AF140 fans myself and am very happy with them. The red band doesn't light up, it's just for decoration.

In a nutshell there are two different types of fan; AF (air flow) and SP (static pressure). AF fans are designed to move as much air as possible and SP fans are designed to move air through tight spaces, such as heatsinks.

You can't just buy a CPU fan, you also need a heatsink to attach it to and the heatsink may also need to be secured with a backplate. Everything you need is included when you buy a CPU cooler. As for those with a red LED, the Corsair AIO water coolers that are compatible with Corsair Link have it, as does the CM V8 air cooler.
