Hi, I have ordered a 1070 to upgrade my 970, and I just wanted to confirm something that I think I already know. My PSU (Corsair VS650) has two 6-pin connectors that power the 970, but I have read that the 1070 needs a 8-pin connector. Do I just plug in one of the 6-pin connectors to the 1070, and also the 2-pin that is attached? Making it a 8-pin connector? Or do I need an adapter? Thanks!

the power connectors on GTX 1070 varying from single 8pin through 8pin+6pin to 8pin+8pin.
Some cards include adapters (my EVGA came with 2x6pin to 8pin adapter), some does not.
those adapters are very cheap, you can order from amazon/ebay or get in a local store for couple of bucks.
If you'll post the model of the card you've ordered, i'd be able to tell you more.
