Samsung Galaxy S4 mini not booting

Hey All,

I was recently in a rush to switch off my phone but accidentally turned it on again...
So instead of waiting all the way through the start-up when the Samsung logo appeared I pulled out the battery and put it back in so it would switch off.

I only tried to switch my phone back on later at night, and realised it didn't switch on. I thought the battery was low so I left it to charge for a few hours...
Went back to check, the power charging indicator hadn't shown up and the phone didn't start either.

The wall power, plug and USB cable are fine as I tried with other devices but my phone just won't start

Its been two days and it still hasn't turned back on....

PLEASE HELP!!! :(

another combination to try would be to press and hold the power button then press and hole the volume up button too. if not then you may have to bring it back to get it repaired under warranty or if it is out of warranty then you may have to do something more advanced like connecting the phones to a computer to flash a factory image or to root the phone to get it back

What exactly happened.....

It was perfectly fine......
any idea what might've actually happened?

Also how do i flash it or root it if the phone doesn't turn on?

sounds like something might have gotten corrupted. the best place to go with issues like this is the xda developers website. they may have something on a problem like this too. check it out:

Is there a way I can rule out certain things...
For example: There isn't a problem with the phone but its with the battery..
