Will an AMD A8-5500 APU Bottleneck an RX 460?

My friend's birthday is coming up, and I want to give him a graphics card because he's using the aforementioned APU with a GTX 550ti. I want to buy him a Gigabyte Windforce OC 4GB RX 460. He likes games like Portal 2 (and most other Source games) and Overwatch.

What I want to know is if the APU would be a bottleneck for the card. I feel like it would be but I'm not sure.

Most likely, yes, but I would say it's more of a combination of things. The A10 chip, for example, had maybe 30% of a Skylake i7's performance, but when it was paired with a GTX 1080 it was still able to reach 70 FPS. OTOH, the i7 paired with the RX 460 also hit that mark. Based on that combination, on Ultra @ 1080p settings your friend's A8 with an RX 460 is going to be lucky to hit 25FPS in Overwatch. To get decent performance, he'd have to turn the details down.

That being said...if you can afford to get him an RX 470 or 480, or even a GTX 1060, he'd be able to hit 40-50FPS on Ultra, & might only...
