Hi guys i hav got this old pc i need to upgrade mainly for gaming
Cpu- e2200. Ram-2gb ddr2 mobo- MSI 7525 (boston) graphics- gma 3100
I am planning of putting gt 730 2gb ddr5 and upgrading ram to 4 gb. So my problem is cpu. Will there be bottlenecking due to cpu i.e. e2200 dual core 2.2ghz and how much fps should i expect on upcomming games on lowest settings possible

Solution

The e7600 is a dual core, you want something from the Q series for newer games. GT 730 is slow, especially for "upcoming games". With a 450 watt power supply you should get a GTX 750 Ti or a Radeon RX 460. 4 GB of RAM is also a bit low for gaming, but you need to check the max RAM for your system.

Make sure you do a BIOS...

Do not even bother upgrading that to play modern games even on lowest settings with the gt 730 (a horrible card and a waste of money by the way) and that CPU is extremely old and cannot possibly play modern games.

You need a new system entirely.

That looks to be an OEM motherboard from HP or something, what power supply do you have in the system and what is the case size? What is the computer brand and model?

For your budget you can maybe get a replacement Core 2 Quad CPU and a better video card for games.

hang-the-9 compaq presario SG3630IL pc will upgrade psu to 450watt and yes i can upgrade to core 2 quad and i am thinking of buying e7600 3.06ghz 4 gb ram 2 x 2gb sticks and gt 730. Also guys i am upgrading graphics card from gma 3100 so don't think gt 730 can't help me. Even if it can help me game at 144p low, i will be happiest guy in world, it is still better than losing all my money to game parlours
