I've read several posts already about backwards compatible PCI slots. So I'm pretty sure the slot will work. My issue is a bit more about space. The problem is I don't have access to measure the physical area inside. I have an IBUYPOWER 504 series that currently uses an nvidia 660 which I think is 9.5 inches and from what I can find the 1070 is 10.5 inches and dual slot. So I'm not if the extra inch will be an issue and what the dual slot really means. I do not have anything else in my PCI slots right now.
