Hello,

My current setup is :

gpu: r9 270x
cpu :amd 6350 with aftermarket cooler
psu: 550w
motherboard: asrock 970 extreme 3 r2.0
8gb ram

I like to upgrade de GPU with a rx 480

question 1 : i know theres bottleneck with gpu and cpu, but is it a big bottleneck?
question 2 : is my motherboard capable for the new gpu?
question 3 : Do you guys think this is a smart upgrade? am i missing someting? :)

in the future i maybe want to buy amd zen, but then i need also another motherboard and i think i build a whole new pc then.\

Thanks !

Yes, your board is compatible with the RX-480. And yes, you will experience CPU bottleneck. How much will depend on the game and the screen resolution and the vert refresh rate of your display. Not to mention in-game settings and number of players on a busy server. Single player gaming won't be so bad. The RX-470 is probably a better match unless you don't care about bottleneck.
