Audiobook CDs suddenly not playing in the car

I download audiobooks from Audible.com into my iTunes library, then use iTunes to burn them onto blank CD-R discs. Iv'e never had a problem with these audio CDs playing in my car's CD player, but now, suddenly, the CD player won't play them, simply ejecting the disc. These CDs will still play just fine in my portable CD player, and my car's CD player will still play my music (MP3) CDs, it just refuses to play my audiobooks. What gives?

No. I've tried running a cleaner CD in the CD player, and that didn't work either. Any idea what else could be going on?
