I have a Corsair VS550 Power Supply, and a Phenom Micro ATX Case. Can someone confirm that the power supply is going to fit?

it will fit it, but that is a poor quality PSU, I would get a better one as soon as possible.

Is it really that bad? What are the downsides and what would be a better suggestion power supply. This will be helpful. Thank you!

it has cheap components, poor regulation and bad efficiency. poor regulation and cheap components mean that if it fails it could damage more than it should. and also it is more likely to fail. a good power supply to look into is the evga 500b2 it is pretty cheap but is a lot more solid. pretty much my rules are 80PLUS BRONZE or better, and by EVGA, Corsair (not their VS or CX/CXM models), Seasonic, or XFX, also Superflower if they are available near you ( they seem to be more Europe based)

If your running a budget setup or an office type build they are fine , a gaming type setup , you need a better PSU.
