I need to hardwire my laptop in another part of my house from my present internet service (Comcast/Xfinity) for a work at home job that requires hardwired. I do not want to run a long cord through several rooms.
Assuming you have only one breaker panel (fuse box) in your home, this should work. If for some reason it doesn't buying from someone like Amazon will permit you to return it.
MOCA: if you have coax wiring between the 2 locations.
POWERLINE: Uses house's electrical wiring, but this is hit&miss, so buy from somewhere you can return. Bandwidth not as great as real ethernet but should be better than WIFI.

Thank you so much, for answering so quickly.
I'm not tech savvy. I read I can purchase a Powerline Network adapter is that what you are referring to?

Gloria0551 :
I need to hardwire my laptop in another room from my internet service (Comcast/Xfinity) for a work at home job. Without running a long cord through several rooms. Is there a way to do this w/o calling /Comcast and running a long ethernet cord through several rooms?
