Pc upgrade to skylake on a budget

Solution
OMG!!! I'm on a mobile phone, looking up stuff takes a minute and doesn't refresh the page when you back up, so excuse me for posting 7minutes after you finally decided to announce that all you needed was a cpu, mobo and ram.

You've not said purpose, need, budget. There's a big difference with using the pc as just a web browser - light gamer, in which the cheaper i3 would be perfect, to using the pc for heavy gaming - rendering videos for a YouTube channel in which case the i7 would be much more desirable, but costs over twice the price if the i3. You've also not stated if it should be a locked cpu such as the i5-6500 or if it needs to be unlocked for OC such as the i5-6600k.

The more parameters you give, the better and faster...
Given your requirements, it seems to me you need an i5 6500, 1x 8GB or 2x 4GB DDR4 2133, a motherboard with socket 1151 (fits the i5) that will depend on what you want to plug into it, a power supply that will be large enough to fit any other components which you've not listed, and a hard drive to load Windows and your programs onto.

I generally recommend SSDs as they make a world of difference in PC responsiveness, and Samsung's are good, relatively inexpensive choices. Look into the 850 EVO, preferably in M.2 if you decide you want a motherboard that has an M.2 slot. Size will depend on how much you want to be able to load onto it.

An i5 6500 + motherboard and RAM will draw somewhere in the range of 80w under load, so you'll probably want a power supply that's at least 100-120w. The recommendation will depend on what else (if anything) you want in this PC.

Please give more info.

1) For gaming or not?

2) Budget?
(don't just say "on a budget" as that's not very helpful. There's a big difference between a $500 PC and a $700 PC).

3) Monitor, Windows, etc included in the budget?

4) Given a lower budget for half-decent gaming I suggest:

i3-6100
8GB DDR4
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
suitable motherboard
case
500W PSU

Graphics card?
Depends on total budget.

Possibly an RX-470?

You've been asked numerous times what your budget is. "Extreme budget" may well be $200 or $500, depending on the person.

To answer your question, this is the cheapest you can do:

That's only 1x8GB RAM module, but allows you to add a further 8GB in future. It's also 2400MHz speed, which will only run at 2133MHz on the H110 chipset, but you're on a 'budget' and it's the cheapest 8GB DDR4

The components you intend to reuse would be helpful. You might be better off with an i3-6100 and use the ~$100 savings elsewhere.

Making ppl who are trying to help, guess at answers through lack of info because you refuse to give parameters is not only pedantic, it's also down right irritating and a waste of everyone's time.

For all we know, you really need a motherboard that supports native M.2 slots, because your current C drive is a Samsung 950 Pro, so using a h110 mobo is absolutely useless. For all we know, you are running SLI, so most cheaper boards will be useless as they only support Crossfire, it eliminates most mATX and all the Itx boards since they only have 1 pcie x16 slot. Get the hint.
