Ok before anything, thank you for your answers;

I'm upgrading my RIG that is:
PSU AX1200i (just bought it)
GPU Gigabyte GTX550Ti
CPU corei3 2120 3.3 MHz
MOBA Gigabyte H61M-DS2 REV 1.2
RAM 16 GB 1333 MHz

I need to change the GPU because it's dying and i want to get an ASUS GTX 1080, i do know that it will cause me bottleneck, but it just be for 1 or 2 months until i get another MOBA and CPU; my question is if i can run that GPU on this system and if it will be ok and have no damage or something like that; if the answer is no, can i use a Gigabyte GTX950 so i can keep playing?

Sorry for the silly question guys.

Solution
There is nothing wrong with running it on that system.
Sure you wont get full performance now, but you did state you have an upgrade coming as well. There will be no damage or impacts on the hardware.
