I don't want anybody to be upset for me using the forums wrong, so please tell me if there's a sticky or rule that I obviously missed.

Now, I know you guys probably get a lot of people coming on here, throwing up names of computer parts or the like and then expect instant gratification. I bet that probably gets a little annoying, so I'm going to ask slightly differently.

I've been upgrading an old pc of mine for years, but I've never built one from the ground up before. Well, I'm trying it now because I simply cannot fit more upgrades into the tiny case I have. One thing I learned while upgrading is that you must check carefully to make sure everything is compatible.

My question is this: is there a site I can use to virtually build my computer to make sure everything fits? Or can I post the pieces I've got my eyes on and have you guys with more experience look over my selections to catch any mistakes I've made like incompatibility or missing components? It's important to make sure it all fits because I cannot afford to mess this up. Thanks in advance,
-Shield

Edit: okay so, I'm back from pcpartpicker, and I couldn't help but start all over with my choices because they made it so easy. I went a tiny bit over budget, but I wanted to make certain that what I'm getting is an upgrade. How does this build look? I know there's no hdd, but unless somebody tells me it won't work, I'd rather just transfer my current hard drive because I can't find my copy of Windows 7. I'd like to avoid reinstalling the OS unless I really have to. With this much hardware being changed I wouldn't be surprised if I do indeed have to start with a blank hard drive, just let me know if I do.

Solution
You can build over here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/

It'll throw up any obvious incompatibilities, and you can post the link to the build here for feedback/suggestions.
