Radeon r9 280x
2x4gb ddr3
Corsair 750m and Thermaltake 650

Started with a stressing slow down. It would slur the sound and video. At first barely noticeable then complete stuttering to eventual black screen.

One of increasingly frequent times I let it sit after it black screened and the sound and video somewhat returned but not to a usable point.

Tried everything including update bios, seating 1 stick of ram at a time, new thermal paste, resting cmos bios, installing windows on different hdd, changing gfx pcie slots all over.

Memtest froze, prime 95 froze. Was able to get some solid use after changing pcie and ram ports but problem returned.

I bought new psu and same problem but it had now progressed to no post on screen. I have no speaker hooked up.

When I turn it on I get a black screen and none of the USB ports are recognized. I was able to unplug everything and reset cmos then it popped up. Asked if I wanted to enter bios or set defaults. I plugged in keyboard them I set defaults and went right back to black screen. Trying to recreate that now.

Temps seem steady.

What is going on? Thank you in advance.

1| Within the body of your thread, you forgot to include the OS off which you're working with.
2| You also need to include both PSU's models. You've included their makes but you're going to have to narrow it down since both makers have a large number of SKU's and series of units(old and new).
3| You also need to specify the make and model of your memory. If memtest froze then your ram is the culprit.
4| Are you on BIOS version F3?
