Hello people.I have 300€ (335$) and i'd like some help to build the rest of my cheap gaming pc.I suck with pcs in general.I dont know anything about sockets etc,i just listen to people tell me what to buy and i proceed buying components. So far i have bought and installed:

gpu:gtx 750 ti
ram:CRUCIALL BALLISTIX SPORT 8GB (2X4GB)
My motherboard is g41m combo and my proccesor is an ancient one (intel core duo e8400 3ghz)

As i said i have 300€ and i'd like to buy one motherboard and one cpu that are good and are compatible with my gpu and ram.Thank you in advance !

Solution
So here is a parts list with the new considerations in mind:

CPU options:
i3 4360 ($150 ish)
i5 4460 ($180 ish)

motherboard options:
Some cheaper H97 chipset motherboard ($90 ish)
Some cheaper H81 or B85 chipset motherboard ($65 ish)

PSU options:
Antec VP450 (typically $40)
SeaSonic SSR-450RM ($70, pretty high quality stuff here)

Play mix and match. The best thing to do is to go and find local sites in your local currency and budget your build out by components. For example, up to 180 euros on the CPU, 60 euros on the motherboard, 60 euros for the power supply. Stick with reputable brands that you hear about all the time on the forums here, like Asus and Gigabyte and MSI for motherboards, and refer to the Tom's Hardware PSU...

Your GPU is compatible with just about anything. Well, besides an AGP slot.

Your motherboard, however, is a funny being. It's socket 775, making it at least 10 years old, but can potentially support DDR2 or DDR3 memory. Since we have no idea what you have, no one can really recommend you anything that will match right now. DDR2 has been dead a long time, and DDR3 is the most prevalent type of memory in all of computing right now.

I would say it's time to get a new motherboard, cpu, and ram, but it's your call.

I have no idea about European pricing, and I hear it's all kinds of weird and inflated, but a rough estimate from US prices:

i5 6400 ($180)
MSI H110M Gaming ($70)
Kingston HyperX FURY Black 8GB Kit (2x4GB) 2133MHz DDR4 (HX421C14FBK2/8) ($40)

puts you at about $290. Again, European pricing is hugely inflated.

WAIT A MOMENT do you have an adequate power supply?

With a 750ti he hardly needs an amazing power supply.

Also, I googled his RAM and I think it's DDR3, he can possibly save on that.

That'll mean Amteseungs Mobo+CPU suggestion will fit within your budget.

I ask about the power supply because a theoretical garbage-tier 400W unit could have a 12v rail only capable of 200W, which is barely enough to reliably power the i5 6400 + motherboard at full load, let alone everything else that needs power.

Also, DDR3 won't go into a skylake platform, which requires a minimum of DDR3L and recommends DDR4. I would recommend going to skylake if he's currently running DDR2. If that Crucial kit is in fact DDR3, I'd have to think a bit.

I couldn't find any information on that power supply that wasn't in Polish. Which scares me.
This spec sheet was the most I could find.

It's slightly scary, seeing that it can barely handle any current, and it needs 2 12v rails to provide that power. That means when your system goes back together, you'll need to balance which component draws power from which rail, or else overloading one will lead to your pc's demise. 168W from one rail, 156W from the other at less than 60% efficiency and a pretty damn high amount of ripple all around. Technical talk aside, this tells me "sketch af".

You'll probably need a new power supply.

I hope you get the idea.

A 350W power supply isn't going to cut it, especially that one. I recommend the VP450 only because I've abused one for 5+ years, and it's still going strong, and it's inexpensive. There's a lot more going on in power supplies than just the sticker on the side saying how much wattage it is marketed to push.

Seriously though, if you're in a country and/or in an area where you can't find any vendors of reputable equipment, we'd be hard pressed to be able to help you in any way.
