Hello Everyone,
I am facing huge problems with my previous motherboard MSI 970A-G46 the board is malfunctioning when I am using AMD FX 8350 CPU. It was going well for 3 months then all of a sudden when i am starting my PC no beeping sound. Full black screen. I have repaired it 3 times and they told it will not fully support with my cpu as of some thermal design issues . I am willing to buy the new motherboard called Gigabyte 970 G1 Gaming. Can my CPU run on this board without having any problems?
please help???

To put it bluntly, you're less likely to light a 990fx motherboard on fire than a 970. For FX cpu's, I wouldn't trust anything less than a 990fx chipset motherboard. I've seen a 970 chipset motherboard go up in flames a yard from my face.

FX CPU's draw an enormous amount of power, and 970 chipset boards typically don't have the power delivery adequate to pushing anything more than an fx6300 at stock speeds, let alone your power hungry 8350.

You can by AM3+ mobo built on 970 or 990 or another chipsets but it must support processor.
Differences btw chipsets restrict some supported functions, which can be useless.
The DC-DC converter on mobo that supply CPU can provide certain power. When consumer (CPU in our case) require more power than converter can provide, then malfunction happens: overheat and burning out of MOSFETs.
It is not a caprice or wish to make a profit when vendors not include some CPUs in support list of budget mobo, it is a safety requirement.
Chek CPU support list when choosing the motherboard.

970 IS FINE AS LONG AS IT HAS A GOOD POWER PHASE AND THERMAL DESIGN.
