So I have done hours of googling and YouTube watching but most of the reasons why people are getting the "Ethernet" Doesn't have a valid IP configuration is because they have recently updated to Windows 10?
Let me describe my situation.
Today I was in the middle of playing some games when the Internet crashed on me. I troubleshooted and got the message previously mentioned. I am at college and I am using the Ethernet cable because my custom PC doesn't have WIFI built into it. I tested the same port and Ethernet cable on my ps4 and Mac laptop, both of which worked just fine with the lan cable(I made sure wifi was turned off in all situations.) I also need to mention that because I am on campus, I do not have access to the modem.
I am running Windows 10 and have been ever since i got the computer about 2 months ago and have had no problems with connectivity until today.
I have tried multiple methods but can't get my connection to start working again!
