I have an Intel Xeon E3-1231 v3 @3.4 GHz CPU (w. 16gb DDR3 RAM, MSI m-power motherboard and a 750 w Power Supply). Some of my friends are saying that the xeon cpu won t work with the new nvidia series. I don t see why and haven t read anything that implies it yet, but I d like to make sure before spending money on a 1080...
Thank you in Advance

Solution
Any modern graphics card will work with any system that has a commercially available motherboard with a PCIe 2.0 (or greater) x16 slot. The E3 Xeons are basically i7s without onboard graphics (and ECC memory support).

In short, yes, it'll work.
