Anyone heard of this brand before or know if their products are reliable, seems like a really good deal if they make quality products

According to this review of big *brother* 750w unit, it should be a decent unit.
This one might be even better, made by SeaSonic.

the deepcools are really really mediocre units mate.
that review link above is for a quanta model,they have nothing in common with the st you linked on amazon.

cx550m or 650m are similar priced,modular,far better quality

HardOCP reviewed the DQ550ST http://www.hardocp.com/article/2016/03/24/deepcool_dq550st_550w_power_supply_review#.V-FlrCgrLIU I think it is good.

No those are not the same thing. Not the same platform. You can tell the DQ650ST is not based on the same platform as that one in the old Jonnyguru review.

If looking at RealHardX, it doesn't seem to be up-to-date with Deepcool. http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/DeepCool.htm

The Jonnyguru review is some old Deepcool Quanta 750W unit. That's a different platform than the new Deepcool Quanta 650W unit. Therefore, judgements about the new Deepcool Quanta 650W cannot be made from the old Deepcool Quanta 750W. Even the old Deepcool Quanta 650W unit may have been a different platform; 650-750W is usually where the platform changes.

I never mentioned they are using the same platform. My assumption was, that DQ650ST will be a decent one too. Review from Jonnyguru and hardocp even reinforce my assumption.

The issue here is no- one knows what the deep cool units are.
Deep cool make good cases, good fans, good coolers.
They don't make PSU 's, they just rebadge them.
Corsair's also just badge them BUT the cx 2015 units are well reviewed , they're established , they're based on the rm series loosely & are definitely good quality.
5 year warranty , 50c rating etc.
£4 less or £7 more than a sketchy deep cool unit - the 550w will do the job with a 1070 easily btw.

Absolutely no reason to buy the deepcool on the off chance that it may be OK when those corsair's exist.
