Hello all,
This is my first time on Tom's hardware please excuse me if i'm wrong with the format or anything.
Here are my PC specs:
MSI TWIN FROZR GTX 750ti
i5 4460
8gb ram
H97 D3H Gigabyte mobo
450w PSU

So its been about 6 months since i built my PC, so i decided to clean it.I stripped the case, Grounded myself and used a vacuum ( compressed and low pressure.) and i start cleaning the PC, (i cleaned the GPU mainly) and while i was removing the ram a holding peg got stuck under the GPU. I ignored that and put the case back ( and the ram in a different slot) and booted the PC.Everything was extremely slow and the system kept hanging.I used to run GTA 5 at high at around 100 FPS, now at something like 10 and textures didn't load. After this persisted for a week i couldn't take it anymore and i grounded myself and tried to fix it.I removed the GPU cleaned the PCIE slot put the peg back in place and the ram back in the original slot and the GPU back in place. The problem was gone, the boot up speed was back to normal and gta 5 (the benchmark of performance xD) ran at 50-70 fps.But still the system hangs occasionally and games like csgo keep freezing at different screens.
The temperature and GPU fan speeds are at normal.Physically i don't see any defects or don't hear any abnormal noise.Apps like geforce and MSI gaming apps just hang and crash when i open them.
Please suggest solutions; thanks in advance
