Hello, I'm new to this forum but I could sure use some tech wisdom right about now. I'm a photographer so computers are a necessary evil and I really don't know anything about them; reason why I'm here! :) My laptop died (I have a toddler, 'nuf said) so I want to spend my money on a MacBook pro and office door locks, and then add a 4K monitor to my older Dell desktop for color checks...but..it only has 6GB of RAM which is basically obsolete when I'm trying to run PS, LR, ROES, etc. all at the same time like I do. I'd like to, at very least, double the RAM, but it appears I should only be running a max of 8GB on this motherboard? Say it isn't so! Should I just buy wine instead? Thanks in advance!

It appears that 8GB (4x2GB) is the max for the board as per:
http://www.cnet.com/products/dell-inspiron-570/specs/

Sometimes boards have been known to accept more, or different configs (ie reaching the max via 2x4GB rather than 4x2GB), but I wouldn't expect to be able to populate that setup with any more than 8GB total.
