Hi,
I reinstalled windows 7 on my SSD and when I opened my computer, drive letters were changed for all secondary HDDs. SSD system disk has same (C) letter. I have two HDDs and four partitions and they all changed. Can I change them back to what they were before windows install?
Thanks

Yes, it's totally safe - it's not going to lose any data.

All it's telling you is that (essentially) if you've mapped your 'C' drives "Downloads" folder (or anything else, any save file locations etc) to look at the 'D' drive, and you rename 'D' to 'E', it won't know where to look & you'll have to re-direct.

With a new OS install, nothing on your 'C' drive should be looking anywhere else at the moment, so you're fine.

Yes. Open disk management and you can right click on a drive/partition & "assign" or "change" a drive letter.

Note that some directories/locations may have to be changed to correspond with the new drive letters, but on a clean OS install, that shouldn't present an issue.

It gave me following message

"Some programs that rely on drive letters might not run correctly. Do you want to continue."

Is it safe to click YES ? This partition is full and I do not want to lost any data on it.

Thank you all. Successfully renamed all drives and partitions.
