Should I be concerned about a "Reallocated Sector Count" of 312?

I opened CrystalDiskInfo to have a look at my drives and my HDD showed a warning, I then opened HD Tune Pro and found that the Reallocated Sector and Event count were showing 312.

I have no experience with this and just want to check there is no cause for concern.

Thanks,
Sam

A count that high indicates a drive that is failing. You should back it up and replace ASAP.
Hi There,

Two questions. 1. I have no idea how long it has been that high and if it is increasing over time. If i check on it very regulaly and it doesn't increase does that mean it should be fine? 2. How long would the drive last?

Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sam

1. Doesn't matter. The drive is failing when the count gets that high. Even if it doesn't increase over a few weeks that's no guarantee that it won't suddenly, without warning, just die.

2. It will last as long as it lasts. There is no way to predict final failure. It could last 2 more years or it could fail the next time you power up.
