for Battlefield 1, the minimum CPU requirement is a Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K, and I have an i7-4770k. Is my CPU out of date and worse than the required CPU, or is mine higher than required for the minimum. I don't know know if it is the generation that makes a CPU higher or lower than the other, thus I'm asking here. Is my CPU equal to if not better than the required minimum?

also, i don't know if this matters at all, but I have had my CPU for 2 years now!

Your processor will be more than enough for BF1, no need to worry. Your processor is good to go for several more years.
BF1 is a perfect example of why developer specs are nothing to listen to. A 6600k and a 6350 on the same tier? Not a chance at all.

Awesome, thank you very much! The age on mine doesn't matter I'm assuming?

Yes, you'll be able to play fine depending on your other components. It meets not only the minimum specs, but is a 22% past the recommended spec. I used a great website called game debate, they have a system requirement tool where if you enter all of your specs, they give pliability summaries (you need to be a donor to get numbers, but I find it very useful).

My i5 6500 maxes out and I have to micromanage my Task Manager to run it at 55 FPS.

My FX 8320 which cost half as much runs it buttery smooth even with Firefox and Skype running.

You CPU is better than both.

Yeah, but the core count and the extra threads of the FX 6350 make up for it.

As seen with my little brother's first gen i7 running better than my i5 6500...

It sucks pretty hard that I paid a lot of money and I have to upgrade. Hopefully the news that KabyLake will run on LGA 1151 is true. I'll get the best i7 I can.
