I just built a computer and I need to install windows 10. However there isn't a slot for my DVD player. I tried connecting a cord that came with my DVD player but the DVD player won't turn on and I can't put in the windows 10 disc. What do I do?

You can't install Windows from a standalone DVD Player as it can't read data discs.

If there's no way to install a DVD drive in your PC you can install Windows using a USB pen drive but as I've never had to do that you'll have to start a new thread and ask how to do it.

I have to say it was a puzzling oversight not to allow for a DVD drive in your PC build, it would have made some tasks much easier (such as being able to use your Windows disc with no complications).
