Hi, Ive been able to use my windows 10 pc as normal until recently, about last week, when multiple different apps started using very high read and write speed, and in the activity manager it says its being used sometimes as much as 90-100% when gaming. The apps that is says are using the disk are Norton Security, Nvidia Backend, Nvidia Backup Server, Office Click-to-run but then it also says System is using it too. UPDATE: Rundll32 is also using up all my disk all by itself sometimes.

Solutions I have tried: Shutting down Windows 10 notification and shut down Superfetch and Windows Search, which seem to have caused the problems for others, but appareantly not for me.

System specs:
i7 4790k @4.0ghz
Msi gtx 970 gaming 4gb
Msi z97 gaming 9 ac mobo
8gb ddr3 corsair vengeance pro ram
corsair 600m 600w psu
1tb segate sshd

Updating my bios is my last solution I guess, but if you have ANY ideas on how to solve this, wether its about a windows update or something causing it or not, im very greatful. Thank you in advance!!!

Hey there, AlleLalle.

I don't think updating your BIOS will have any impact on this. It really seems like this could be either OS related or directly related to those programs. So you might want to check out their configuration especially if they run constantly in the background. Disabling BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) could also prove useful.
Also, make sure that your SSD and HDD are both in good health, by downloading a drive diagnostic tool and testing them.

Hope that helps.

Thanks man, I didnt get notified about your answer til today for some reason! I just reinstalled windows with everything being backed up and it seems to have solved it, tho.

I appreciate that a representative actually answered me here!!

Sure thing mate. I'm glad that everything seems to be working fine right now. :)
Hopefully the new OS install was all that was needed, however, if I were you I'd give it a go with the tests or at least check the SMART data, just to be sure that everything is OK and that it was just an OS issue.
