Hey guys,
My GPU has recently been getting really high temps while idle (around 60c) and am wondering if it is safe to use MSI afterburner to have the fans on at all times (at 47%). Can this damage the card? After using MSI afterburner, my idle temps are around 30-35c and while gaming my temps are around 40-45c which is pretty awesome.

Thanks

Yeah theres no problem. I keep mine on 50-60 at all times.

I use MSI Afterburner to control the fan speeds of my GPU, been doing this for a good few months now, in almost constant use. The fans are made to have a long life-span, and most likely outlive the 'Modernised' GPU.

I have been having issues with MSI Afterburner when it comes to overclocking (This is just me) and I have to restart my PC and sometimes reseat my GPU to get it working to its full potential again, I just guessed that this was the PCI-E Slot and not MSI Afterburner.

So theres no problem with having your fans on constantly (at around 40-45%)? I'm not looking to do any of the overclocking stuff with MSI afterburner, just want to keep fans on.
