Is Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo good enough for i7 6700k without OC?
Is it going to be enough if I overclock?
If not what fan should I get?

Thank you :)

That's not ideal, and I wouldn't even try OC'ing with that cooler. So yeah, if you have a decent 6700K you can run it stock with that cooler, but it would probably get to 70-75C under full load.

Better get at least a 212 or the Cryorig M9i Mr Kagouris advised.

In the grand scheme of things 30 bucks / euros isn't that much to keep your PC quieter and have some OC'ing headroom.

I agree with the Cooler Master 212 EVO. I am running a Gelid Tranquillo on my i7 6700k and it does well. If the CPU starts running at 100% which it has been doing of late for some reason that I have yet to find, the temp will get up to around 53c while playing the Witcher 3.

100% during the Witcher 3? Sometimes during loading or in the UI it spikes to 100% for me, but during gameplay it doesn't get much higher than 25-30% IIRC. Also, 53C is REALLY good for a load temp, if that's really at 100% load that's insane. Mine (NH-U14S) will get 67C max (in the summer, ambient 27-30C) in stresstests.

But yeah, if OP is looking for budget coolers the 212 or M9i would be decent choices.

Yeah, it will spike to 100% and the Frame rate will drop from 60 to around 15. I have played through it several times on a GTX 980 with no issues and now I am running a GTX 1080 and it is just this game. The other playthroughs were were on the original release of the game, but I am playing the latest release ( Complete Version ). My GPU Temps have been holding in the 40's. I checked for Malware that may he been causing the CPU issues, but appears to be clean and it is only this game. Maybe an optimization issue.
