Hi, recently I have had a really loud buzzing noise coming from one of the fans in my computer, I fixed this problem but now when I try to turn on my computer there is a blinking cursor in the top left of my screen, I am able to get into my bios but I can't see anywhere to boot in safe mode, I also can select which hard drive to boot off (there is only one anyway) but that doesn't help either please help. Thank you

No problem, apologies about the slow response.

When it is finished make your pc boot from the USB stick and there should be a recovery option somewhere in the menu.

Take a look at this tutorial for help: http://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-xp-vista/how-to-get-to-the-recovery-console-in-windows/

Looks useful to me :)

Make sure that the hard drive is connected properly and if that doesn't work, put the windows CD that you should have into your computer and change the boot order so that the computer will boot from the disc and you can attempt to reinstall windows and keep all of your files :)
