CPU Water Cooling!?

So I have a "Corsair H50 120mm" and motherboard "ASUS Z170-E" I wanted to ask if my setup would be best for cooling the CPU.

- I have 2 Corsair SP 120mm fans on the radiator and I have 1 connected to "CPU Fan" and the other fan connected to "CPU Opt"
- The H50 only has a water pump header so I connected that one to the "Water Pump" on the motherboard.
- In the BIOS I have the CPU fans set to "Auto" and for the water pump I have it set to "Disabled" so that its running at full speed.

The reason why I have it set up this way is because if for some reason the system starts to overheat since the fans are connected directly to the CPU headers it will adjust them, and of course the water pump on disabled so it runs full speed at all times.

If you have any other suggestions please let me know.

I normally just connected my pump to the CPU OPT on the motherboard. Now I have a more powerful pump and a custom loop, my pump needs to plug directly into the power supply.

Maybe grab a fan splitter and connect both fans on one fan header and the pump on the opt?
