I need a check on this preliminary build please. It is extreme low budget and purchased from Amazon only (paying with gift balance). It is for light gaming like WoW and eSports titles (CS:GO, TF2, LoL, etc.) on 1080p. I hope to keep this for at least 5 years.

New Parts:
Recycled Parts:
I will use integrated graphics to play games on low settings until I buy a graphics card. Within the next couple months I will buy a RX 460 or GTX 1050 (if they are out) graphics card. I will also buy a new SSD to use as main drive at that time.

Some specific questions I have:

  • I don't understand the difference between the different motherboards in the H110 category (like Pro-D, Pro-VD, Pro-VHL). Can you explain the difference? I just picked the cheapest one.

Is the sound card above worth using? Or is sound from the motherboard better?
Please give me any feedback or ideas keeping in mind extreme low budget, buying from Amazon only, and planning on keeping this 5+ years. Thank you.

I thought maybe the GTX 1050 would be worth it since its a newer generation and it would be supported longer. Thats the same reasoning I chose the RX 460 over the older nvidia cards even though I prefer nvidia in general.

Thanks for the tip about the SSD I heard Samsung is the best but for 25 more gb and a cheaper price I think I will go with the Crucial.

Can anyone clarify my 2 questions in OP about if those other motherboard variants of H110 offer anything worthwhile and if that sound card is worth using or scrapping? And do the other parts all look compatible/good quality

Thanks
