I am having some issues updating my BIOS. I am going to do it from a USB but I am unsure of what to do as all help videos and pages are dated. I have my USB in FAT32 format, I have the correct BIOS files and I have the .F3D file for my new BIOS inside of the USB drive. I have tried running Qflash and installing an update from a drive to be met with two options- bootsect.exe and EFI, neither of which were what I was expecting. I then realised that I hadn't made my USB bootable but I am not really sure how to do that either as all videos appear to be making Win10 bootables as opposed to me who wants to flash the BIOS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am using HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool.

Solution
if the motherboard is newer one from msi/asus or any of the other vendor there be a bios update tool in the bios. all you need is the bios file on the root of the usb stick and point the bios updater to the file. if it a dell or hp you have to make the usb stick dos bootable then place the bios flash program on the usb stick.
