Gears of War 4 is being bundled with the GTX 1070 and the specs recommend 16 GB of RAM.

Here's the 1070 I was thinking of:

And here's the RAM:

My PC from Cyberpower still has the GTX 770 and 8 GB of RAM it came with.

The CPU, motherboard, and cooling systems aren't the latest or greatest so my main concerns about upgrading are:

*Bottle-necking
*Heating Issues

Here's my current PC specs:

CARE1: Cooler Master Thermal Fusion 400 Extreme Performance CPU - Thermal Compound Optimized for Thermal Dissipation

CASE: CYBERPOWERPC X-Saber w/ USB 3.0, Large Side Panel Window (Black with Blue LED)

COOLANT: Standard Coolant

CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i7-4770K 3.50 GHz 8MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1150 (All Venom OC Certified)

CS_FAN: Default case fans

FAN: Corsair Hydro Series H60 High Performance Liquid Cooling System 120MM Radiator & Fan (Single Standard 120MM Fan)

HDD: 2TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (Single Drive)

MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1866MHz Dual Channel Memory (ADATA XPG V2)

MOTHERBOARD: MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate ATX w/ Military Class 4, OC Genie II, GbLAN, 2 GEn3 PCIe x16, 2 PCIe x1, 2 PCI

POWERSUPPLY: 800 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Certified Power Supply - SLI/CrossFireX Ready

VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 2GB GDDR5 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card (MSI Edition)

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hey,

There would be nothing to worry about when upgrading your system.
The 4th gen I7s are still very good CPUs, with something like an I7 6700K showing little improvement in gaming.
Your Cooling is also fine.

The GTX 1070 will be a great upgrade, but for the RAM, instead of getting another 16GB, you can pick up another 8GB of your current ADATA RAM. Just make sure it is exactly the same.

Okay, I've got the GTX 1070 and the 16GB (8GBx2) RAM now.

Since this is my first time upgrading a PC, is there an order of installation to follow?
