Help with analog stick switch

Hi guys i'm new to this. So i'll make it quick, I have a pc/ps3 gamepad which i use for pc but the analog stick is quit laggy and i want to replace it with a ps2 analog stick but i noticed that the circuits are not the same and the slots were different so i hope if someone can help.
PS: i'm not so familiar with electronics so take it easy with me

there is likely more going on here than "i guess i will replace part A with part B and it will work better".

first, unless the two analog switches would need to have the same i/o requirements or it wouldnt work on another pcb.
second, it would need the same footprint and connection points if you wanted to use it on another pcb else it would not solder on without something custom
third, the lag is likely caused by something else entirely besides the actual switch such as software, onboard electronics, etc

the lag issue is likely your pc bogging down, the drivers you installed being bad, the game, your settings for the controller or some other software or electronics aboard the controller issue. the only issue which will happen with the...
