I just brought a second hand 750 ti, not knowing if i would get a reference card, i ended up getting an asus 750 ti what requires a 6 pin, i dont have a 6 pin on hand with my current power supply (i plan to upgrade the psu to an EVGA 550w in about 3 months) would it be ok to use a single molex to 6 pin as i only have 1 spare or would it be better to use 2 sata power cables to 6 pin?

Can try, I don't like the approach, the molex is rated to deliver 40 watts, a 6 pin PCI-E is rated to deliver 75 watts, 2 molex to a single PCI-E would be better and I'm not even thrilled with that...if a PSU doesn't have a PCI-E connector, it's generally old or not strong enough

the reference card is only rated at 60W max, thats why it dosnt have a 6 pin, this card only has a 6pin because its slightly overclocked and to leave more overclocking head room, i doubt it would pull anymore than 100w, and this is only temporary, im planning to replace the PSU within 3 months :)

The card will be fine on the slot power alone, actually. I doubt it will draw even the full 75W available from the slot. But chances are, it will require the 6-pin header to be populated before it works. The 6-pin header is for (1) overclocking and (2) show. Use the Molex adapter until you get the new PSU.
