I recently built my own PC for gaming and have ran into trouble with some games crashing. For example I can play older games such as Borderlands 2 no problem but when I try to play a newish game such as Mad max it will crash and restart after 30 or so minutes of gaming.

I think my problem is that my power supply might be two small. Anytime I do anything more than the basic settings on my GPU my computer crashes and resets the settings to default. If somebody could let me know if that is my problem, and what PSU you would recommend, it would be greatly appreciated.

I mistakenly looked that he has Z-series MoBo. And thanks to this, i suggested the 700W range to have plenty of room for overclocking.
My bad.

That being said, i'd suggest Seasonic S12II-520.

Any of these would be good choices.
First download OCCT and stress the Processor and check the temps.
Download MSI Kombuster and stress the GPU checking the temps.
If u ou PC cuts off running the GPU test then replace the PSU if not then run both test at one time .
That is usally either a heat issue or the PSU.

So I tested the CPU for an hour and it ran reasonable temps, I then tested the GPU an it ran a little warm but these RX 480 reference cards are suppose to do that. Nether test crashed my system. If I run both at the same time and it crashes does this indicate that my PSU is to wimpy?
