My PC builders are saying they only buy vendor parts no New Egg, and that NEW cheap Xeons etc don't exist.

My first intention was to use TWO great 150 dollar xeons and to find all of the other parts cheap on New Egg........Yet my pc builders say no and made me switch off of Xeons to i7s and all my New Egg parts andddddddddd set me onto a big 2,000 price tag basically.

I DO want NEW PARTS.......

But people online are saying these things are usually NEW NEW *same* but cheapppPerrr.

My best advice would be to find a new PC builder.

The ONLY good reason to buy new parts strictly from vendors is to ensure the quality and warranty periods.
Personally, I prefer to shop for parts on my own, then bring them to the shop for assembly and installation (if I feel too lazy to do it myself).

You'll have to clarify what you mean by "NEW NEW" and "NEW PARTS" though.
What I'm getting here is that you want to buy used parts for a build and that they're equal (but much cheaper) to brand-new parts.

It's a marketing trick by other people to say that they are selling a "new" part for the half of the price from vendor just to get rid of their used parts.

The truth is, either those parts are used (which drops the value of 50% compared to the vendor) or they don't work at all (value = 0).

No I absolutely want brand new parts. My pc builder wanting vendor parts really threw me off of using the cheap newegg parts I "gathered" lol (eggs lol).

Though maybe the $150 Xeons are *never new...unless in box? Some say they are "straight rips" from servers.

Do you know if the newegg seller is just a person holding my parts or a like um vendor facility? If "joe" the seller drops my HDD in his bedroom, absolutely no newegg then.

"Straight rips" are used parts that have been in a server, so yeah they're used. Depending on how much they've been used and how carefully they're taken out of it, you might get a dud. Also, $150 Xeons are almost always used...and almost always flaky.

If you want absolutely fresh, brand-new, in-the-box parts, you're looking at AT LEAST $200 for each Xeon.

As far as i know anyone can sell their products on Newegg, be it the vendor or regular user. Even the retail shops who buy from vendors sell their products on Newegg.

Edit:
Check this out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newegg
