While trying to fix a problem of one of my gpu's disappearing I think I managed to make Windows believe I tried to share my copy of Windows. When I try to activate my product key I get the error 0xC004F074, stopping me from proving that my copy is genuine. I browsed through forums and eventually find what might fix it, an update at - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/kb/968912 - However, I think because my copy is not genuine, I can't install the update to prove that my copy is genuine, but to prove it I need the update... When I try to install it I get a message saying "I may be a victim of software counterfeiting and a message saying that the update isn't applicable to my computer.

-I run Windows 7 Professional.
-I am getting the error '0xC004F074' when trying to verify my copy.
-When I try to install an optional update I get a message saying that I may be a victim of software counterfeiting.
-I also get a message saying that the update isn't applicable.
-Serenity now.
