First build ever, is it decent enough?

Hello guys,
I'm picking parts for my first pc build ever and need your advice. I’m in for the thrill of building my own system, and I feel I’m missing out on some sweet PC-games.
I did a lot of research already and found a ton of useful information here, yet still I'm not entirely sure about my selection. I try to be value-oriented as much as possible as I'm on quite a tight budget and plan to upgrade further down the road.
Budget: €900-€1200, purchase in the next month or two. (Western-Europe-based prices)
The configuration I put together:

-i3 6100
-Stock cooler
-Gigabyte Z170-UD3
-Ballistix 8Gb - 2400 dual kit
-Zotac GTX950 AMP!
-Corsair LE 240GB SSD (boot drive, apps and maybe a game or 2)
-WD black 750GB (main storage)
-Corsair hx750i PSU
-NZXT H440 or Corsair 450D case (yes window)
-Windows 10
(= +-€1200 total)

Peripherals are of no real concern as I plan to upgrade them later on and I already have a decent 1080p monitor. (BenQ 1920x1080p monitor)

Main purpose for it: games. especially PC-minded games. like strategy games.
(Cities:Skylines, Civilization BE & VI, XCOM 2, Total War Attila & Warhammer, Overwatch etc.,)
In fact, my Pc shouldn't really be that high-end as I'd like to play some older games first anyway. Still, my main concern comes from one of my favorites: the Total War-series.
I know they're quite demanding spec-wise, and I'd like to 'future-proof' my system in that way a little bit.

I play most of the AAA-titles on my PS4 and plan to keep doing so, as I still have some sweet ones for that system (Witcher3, Borderlands 2, Assassins Creed). Also a lot of my online-friends only have a PS4 for multiplayer (FIFA17, BF1 coming up).

Long story short: is this a decent enough build for me to start with or should I alter it in one way or another to get more value for the buck and be a little safer in the first years to come?
And if I stick with this one, what would be the first thing I should consider to upgrade in the future

Thanks to anyone who replies. Much appreciated!

Yes, if you put that high money into it, then consider an i5 (or i7) instead of i3 if you plan to not upgrade cpu. I also checked the psu and it is a tier one class in the list here, which is good

You said, you don't want to overclock cpu and I assume you don't want overclock the graphics card too? Then for you even 450 W psu should be fine. A 500 W psu is more than enough for any card and future proof. Maybe you could get a lower power version of the psu and put the money into something else.

Belgium.
Thans for the research but i was
thinking about ordening all at once at alternate.be, pretty convenient as I get everything at once, no Shipping and some service bonuses.

Thank for the advice though. I'm mostly concerned if the i3 & gtx950 Will hold out for a decent amount of time. At first i'll be playing some older stuff but I want to avoid to upgrade too soon because the system might struggle to play some of the more recent games I want to play. I was going for the i3 because I don't plan to OC in the near future, but want to keep the option open (hence the z170). Since I was going for a lower end cpu i concidered going for a lower end gpu as well (keeping expenses low). I'm just not sure if the build would last that long.
Pretty confident about the rest of the build, though I might not see some flaws in it.

Also though it often looks quite cool, i'm not that fond of the red/black style.

Much appreciated though!

Get a rx470 4GB instead of the gtx 950. I seriously reccomend getting the 6600k and a better cooler. Otherwise it looks good :)

Thanks for the input mate! I'll concider the rx470, maybe even the rx480 when I look at the benchmarks. An unlocked cpu is just not for me now as I don't feel that confident messin' around in the BIOS. Maybe an i5 6500 if the money comes around

Then go with. The rx 480 is a great card and preforms much better than the gtx 950, be sure to go with that.
If you think someone solved this thread mark him as best answer, for people with a similar problem :)
