Windows 8 and Windows XP partition on the same drive

How can I create a windows 8 partition and not delete my windows XP partition on the same hard drive?

Open disk management and select the disk you want to do this two at the bottom half of the screen. Then select the partition that XP is installed on and right click on it, and select shrink Volume. Then set how much space you want and it will create a new partition on that disk, and wont harm any of your files or installation.
