Hello,

While I'm waiting for my new headsets, I would like to ask a question. Is it better to use sound card, which comes with the headsets or just ignore it and connect the headsets directly to the PC via sound ports?

The headsets I'm waiting is Steelseries Siberia 650.

My current one is Steelseries 7H. It also came with a sound card, but I never used it.

My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 and it has some nice software which allows to change sound effects.

Some say that sound card is worth to use, some say it's not. What are your thoughts on this matter?

Yes, obviously, they would function as normal, passive headsets. No lighting, no nothing(where would it be getting the current fi rthe lighting?). If you want those bells and whistles connect it via USB and use the integrated sound card. It doesn't really matter, like i said.
